Bill Anderson
Bill Anderson, Chief Executive Officer, joined Rail Services Incorporated (RSI) in 1991 as Vice President. Since that time, he has substantially expanded RSI’s risk management, claims investigations, and safety services for transportation companies, transit agencies, industrial companies, and insurance underwriters. Major projects of this nature are conducted throughout the country, with a major focus on smaller railroads and transit agencies. During the last fifteen years, over 850 safety audits have been conducted and 800 accident losses were investigated and closed.
Before Mr. Anderson’s affiliation with RSI, he was an officer with the Southern Pacific Transportation Company and other Class I railroads for 15 years in economics, marketing and operating positions. During this time, he advanced economic and safety programs that produced substantial benefits for these railroads. He also was a transportation analyst with the U.S. Department of Transportation between 1972 and 1977.
Mr. Anderson also holds the position of President with Freight Services Incorporated (FSI), the parent company of RSI. FSI also provides services throughout the country for rail operators as well as rail customers and public agencies. Services provided include negotiating a wide range of matters relating to railcar fleets, business development, and railroad economic issues.
