Joel PostJoel Post, Mechanical Specialist, specializes in the mitigation of insurance claims for various clients and or insured’s whenever the claim involves loss of lading or damage to cars, locomotives and any other structures and/or equipment. Performs and provides assistance as needed to the insured or the damaging railroad, as well as any other third party damages. Performs car repair audits of locomotive and car repair billing to insure material and labor cost standards are adhered to.

Also, performs research of DOT/Federal Railroad Administration, Association of American Railroads, Bureau of Explosives – Hazard Materials, Office of Safety & Health Administration, & other state/local governmental bodies’ laws, rules and regulatory data as to how they may apply to a particular aspect of the railroad industry, with subsequent report production to the client.

Mr. Post has over 15 years experience working with transportation companies in the design and implementation of handheld computer based solutions and employee training, experience working in lean manufacturing environments, and lead participation in rapid cost improvement (RCI) initiatives.

A specific example of a completed research project would be the Twin Ports Intermodal Freight Terminal Study – 2006.
